Effective date: October 10, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Jeremy Zlabis, operating as The Art Rag, in Toronto, Ontario ("we"). By using theartrag.ca you agree to them. Payments are processed under the billing name 42 Sisters AI.
The Art Rag publishes listings of gallery exhibitions in Toronto and offers an AI chat ("Ask the House") that answers in the voices of an Artist, a Collector, and a Dealer. Some features are free with usage limits. A subscription unlocks more.
We gather listings from public sources and check them by hand, but galleries change dates, hours, and programs without notice. Always confirm with the gallery before you go. We aren't responsible for a trip made on the strength of a listing.
The Artist, Collector, and Dealer are AI characters, not real people, and they don't speak for any gallery, artist, or dealer. Their answers can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date.
Nothing from The Art Rag is investment, financial, appraisal, authentication, or legal advice. That includes anything the Collector or Dealer says about buying, selling, prices, value, or an artist's market. Before you buy or sell art, do your own research and talk to a qualified professional.
Keep access to your email account secure, since that's how you sign in. One subscription is for one person. Please don't share your account.
Don't misuse the service. That includes trying to break or overload it, getting around usage limits, scraping or bulk-downloading our listings or chat answers, reselling access, or using the chat to produce unlawful or abusive content. We may suspend or close accounts that do these things. If we close a paid account for reasons other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund the unused part of the current month.
The Art Rag's design, text, and selection and arrangement of listings belong to us. Artworks, images, exhibition names, and gallery information belong to their owners and are shown for information only. You may use chat answers for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or accurate.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of The Art Rag, including any decision to buy or sell art. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll email subscribers before the changes take effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
